The Hermetic tradition is said to have discovered the art of healing with colour. The Ancient Egyptians and Greeks utilized coloured minerals, stones, salves, and dyes as remedies while the painted their treatment sanctuaries various different colour shades to help achieve health improvements.

An ancient form of medicine called "Ayurveda" has been practiced by many for thousands and thousands of years.
